PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phase difference plate which obviates the occurrence of color irregularity of a display screen at all when the plate is built into a liquid crystal display device. SOLUTION: A thermoplastic resin is kneaded by an extruder and is discharged from a die 1. While the thermoplastic resin film in a molten state having some variations in the film thickness accuracy right after the discharge is cooled by a cooler 5 of air or the like, the film is taken off by pinch rolls 2, 3. At the time of taking off from the die lip to the pinch rolls 2, 3, the film is stretched while the film is cooled down to (the glass transition temp. of the thermoplastic resin film -30 deg.C) to (the glass transition temp. of the thermoplastic resin film +40 deg.C). |
