<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a character mixing device which can turn off character mixing at the same time as an optimum adjustment of picture quality for dubbing is set and which will not erroneously record character information by switching to a dubbing side with a picture quality switching operation of one time. SOLUTION: A first control signal 12 is made to correspond to switching picture quality of normal reproducing/dubbing, a second control signal 13 is made to correspond to ON/OFF of character mixing, and an opening/closing means 8 is controlled by an output of an opening/closing control means 11 ANDing with both control signals 12, 13. Therefore, when the first control signal 12 is set on a dubbing side, the opening/closing means 8 is opened and character mixing can be turned off at the same time as an optimum picture quality for dubbing is set.</p> |
