PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To heat fish paste pieces having a prescribed shape in a good yield. SOLUTION: A plural number of plate-like depressions 15 are formed on the first rotator 14 for forming plate-like fish paste pieces, and electrodes 18 for the primary heating of the fish paste pieces are arranged in each depression 15. An electric power is supplied to the electrodes 18 to heat the plate-like fish paste pieces 10b. The second rotator 21 is disposed below the first rotator 14, and the fish paste pieces 10b formed in the plate-like shape are delivered to the second rotator 21. Bar-like electrodes 26 are rotated and simultaneously moved along the outer circumferential surface of the second rotator 21. The plate-like fish paste pieces 10b delivered on the second rotator 21 are thereby wound on the bar-like electrodes 26 to form cylindrical fish paste pieces 10c. On the formation, the fish paste pieces 10c are heated with Joule heat generated with the bar-like electrodes 26 and the second rotator 21 at a higher temperature than that on the formation of the plate-like fish paste pieces 10b. |
