摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material and method by which high density color development is rapidly attained in an image forming method using an org. silver salt and an org. reducing agent by incorporating the org. reducing agent capable of reducing the org. silver salt into a toner. SOLUTION: The toner contains an org. reducing agent capable of reducing an org. silver salt and has <=10 &mu;m volume average particle diameter. In the image forming method, an original is exposed to light from a light source, the reflected light is converted into electrical signals at an image reading part and the image data are sent to an image writing part with a laser light source 11, a polygonal mirror 12 and an &gamma; lens 13. A photosensitive drum 14 which bears image formation is uniformly electrified by a corona discharge with an electrifying unit 15 and the surface of the drum 14 is irradiated with light for imagewise exposure from the laser light source 11. Reversal development is carried out with a subsequent developing unit 16 and transfer to transfer paper (recording material 18) is carried out with a transfer electrode 17. The recording material 18 is separated from the drum 14 by a separator 19 and fixation is carried out with a fixer 20.
