PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a dried and seasoned konjak by placing a seasoned konjak on a heat-resistant net in a partitioned space, drying the seasoned konjak by applying hot air and/or irradiating far infrared rays and thereby homogeneously drying the seasoned konjak even to the interior thereof in a short time. SOLUTION: Each piece of konjak 4 in the form of a thin plate is placed on a net conveyor 3 passing through an intermediate site of a drying chamber 2 having a prescribed partitioned space 1. Hot air at >=60 deg.C, preferably <=150 deg.C is blown off from hot air blowoff holes 5, 5... and the konjak 4 is exposed to far infrared rays irradiated from far infrared ray generators 6, 6... and dried to afford a piece of dried and seasoned konjak 4 dried to 10-30% moisture content. The net conveyor 3 is preferably a metal, a resin, etc., having heat resistance and is preferably a fluororesin or the surface thereof is preferably subjected to treatment with the fluororesin. The mesh size is preferably larger, but is preferably selected so that the konjak 4 can sufficiently be supported. When the hot air is applied thereto, the drying chamber 2, as necessary, may be provided with a dehumidifier, etc. |
