PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inflator provided with a circulation part of air for an aspirate in the inflator itself and an air bag device using this inflator. SOLUTION: An inflator 1 has an annular ring main unit part 2, flange 3 protruded from a periphery of this main unit part 2, gas generating chemical (propellant) 4 with which inside the main unit part 2 is charged, and an igniter 5 for igniting the gas generating chemicals 4. The main unit part 2 has a circular tubular section, partly therein, a jet nozzle 6 of gas is provided. The upper side from the flange 3 is a front part, the lower side from the flange 3 is a rear part, a ventilation port 8 is provided so as to communicate this front/rear part to each other. When an air bag is inflated, air passes through the ventilation port 8, to be sucked to the air bag. |
