PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication terminal equipment as relay request device and a repeater where the operation procedure for relay request by the relay request device is simplified. SOLUTION: A facsimile equipment as a relay request device makes a call to a repeater, sends a telephone number of a destination terminal to the repeater which stores the telephone number to its RAM 7, and then a line is interrupted. The facsimile equipment makes a call again to the repeater, and sends image data and a relay instruction signal that instructs transfer of image data to the destination terminal to the repeater. Furthermore, the facsimile equipment sends data including the number of relay stages of the repeater at the 2nd call to the repeater. A facsimile equipment as the repeater receives a telephone number of the destination terminal from the relay request device and stores the received telephone number to a relay transmission destination table 7b in the RAM 7 as a telephone number of the destination terminal corresponding to the request by the relay request device. |
