PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for industrially, advantageously and mutually operating an optical isomer of a compound having an acyloxy group, and the optical isomer of an ester body of an oxo acid by gathering and removing the ester body the oxo acid of a compound having hydroxy group. SOLUTION: An optical isomer of the formula, R*(-O-R<2> )q (R* is an organic residue in a stereo isomer relation with R; R<2> is a residue of an oxo acid ester) is collected and removed from a mixture of the optical isomer of the formula, R(-O-CO-R<1> )q [R is an organic residue having asymmetry; R<1> is a (substituted) hydrocarbon; (q) is 1 or 2] with the optical isomer of the formula, R*(-O-R<2> )q , for example, by carrying out an extraction treatment, to mutually separate the optical isomer of the formula, R(-O-CO-R<1> )q and the optical isomer of the formula, R*(-O-R<2> )q . The solvent used by the extraction treatment is ethers (e.g. diisopropyl ether), ketones (e.g. acetone) or the like. The mount of the solvent used is 5-100 times as heavy as the amount of the compound to be extracted. |
