PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute response processing based on the operation by a user on the occurrence of an incoming call employing a communications system different from the one in use. SOLUTION: In the case that a voice call arrives during packet communication, a voice communication exchange station 3 sends a voice call arrival notice to a packet communications exchange station 2, which then informs a communications terminal 1 of the arrival of a voice call by using a packet communications system. The communications terminal 1 sends a packet as a call reception acknowledgement notice generated by the operation of the user. Upon receiving the call reception acknowledgement notice sent from the communications terminal 1, the packet communications exchange station 2 sends the call reception acknowledgement notice to the voice communications exchange station 3. The station 3 makes a response to the voice incoming call independently of the packet communication exchange station 2 based on the received call reception acknowledgment notice to execute response processing to the arrived voice call while continuing packet communication.
