PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a durable liq. leaking-type gas diffuser electrode by which a liq. is smoothly discharged, the supply of gas is not hindered, a high electrode performance is maintained, the current collecting capacity is improved, and the voltage of an electrolytic cell is minimized. SOLUTION: The liq. leaking-type gas diffuser electrode 1 consists of a reaction bed 2 and a gas fed bed 3. The electrode has at least a wiry body 4 in contact with the reaction bed 2 and piercing the gas feed bed. A clearance 5 passable to water or electrolyte is provided between the wiry body 4 and the gas feed bed. The wiry body 4 is preferably a metallic foamed body and the gas feed bed 3 is preferably a fluororesin porous body. The end 6 of the wiry body 4 is preferably connected to a conductive frame 7 and supplied with power. |
