PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To screen the subject inducer by forming diluted series of aβ-lactam agent, measuring the minimum inhibition concentration(MIC), and measuring the MIC of a mixture of the diluted series with a sensitive inducer to be tested. SOLUTION: This new method for screening a sensitive inducer to a 73-lactam agent comprises forming diluted series of theβ-lactam agent, picking a constant amount thereof, measuring the minimum inhibition concentration(MIC) in the picked amount, further measuring the MIC of mixtures of the diluted series of theβ-lactam agent and a constant amount of a dilute of a sensitive inducer to be tested, and judging that when the MIC of the mixed liquid is decreased, the effect of the sensitive induction is recognized, to screen the sensitive inducer to theβ-lactam agent. A pharmaceutical composition having anti-MRSA (methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus) activities is obtained by mixing a material found by the screening method with theβ-lactam agent.
