PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent blocking by the deposit of dust in advance by making the positions of inlet ends in the gas flow direction of respective plate-shaped catalyst elements different from each other in a catalyst reactor in which the plate-shaped catalyst elements into which gas is introduced diagonally are arranged. SOLUTION: A catalyst element is constituted from a first catalyst element 5 and a second catalyst element 6, and the elements 6 are arranged at a usual pitch P1 of about 6-10 mm. At the position where exhaust gas 11 flowed by the distance of 5-10 times the usual pitch P1 , the first catalyst element 5 is arranged between the second catalyst elements 6. By such catalyst elements, even when the exhaust gas 11 is introduced into the second catalyst element 6 from diagonally above, the flow is staightened when the gas 11 flowed by the distance 5-10 times the usual pitch to be parallel with the second catalyst element, and dust in the gas 11 whirls on the second catalyst element 6 surface to be prevented from being deposited. |
