Device which includes a crankshaft associated via each of its ends with epicycloidal gears composed of pinions which rotate on the inner toothing of the corresponding fixed crowns, said gears transmitting a rotary movement to output pinions. On the bend of the crankshaft there is a rod which describes alternating rectilinear movements whilst the output pinions describe circular movements. This device may be used in any machine which requires conversion of a circular movement into an alternating, rectilinear movement, or vice versa, for example in twostroke engines. <IMAGE>
