<p>PURPOSE:To provide a radio wave altimeter with excellent obstacle-resisting performance and very low altitude performance and with high precision from low to high velocity. CONSTITUTION:Signals generated from an oscillator 1 are subjected to two-phase random modulation 4 using a random code generator 20 at an oscillation frequency fc and transmitted to a space and the reflected waves of the signals are received 5, 6, 7 and intermingled with signals from the oscillator 1 and the output signals are distributed using a distributor 8. Each of the signals distributed is demodulated by correlators 10, 14, 24, 28 and each of the output signals is detected by amplitude detectors 12, 16, 26, 30 via filters 11, 15, 25, 29. A signal obtained by integration 17, 18 of the difference between two of the detected signals is used to control a voltage control clock generator 19 to control the oscillation frequency fc of the code from the code generator 20 and to measure 21 the frequency, thereby obtaining information on low altitudes. The other two signals are compared 31 as to their intensity to detect the set altitude.</p> |
