In a non-aq. electrochemical cell with an anode consisting of two alkali or alkaline earth metal foils sandwiching a current extraction conductor foil, the conductor foil (2) conforms with the metal foils and is at least 30 (pref. up to 80)% perforated, the metal foils (1) being welded together at the perforations by pressing or rolling. The conductor foil consists of Cu, Ni, Fe, Ti or their alloys or consists of a support coated with a conductive material.
