The improvements make provision for the stretch garments which have joining seams between component parts of the overall garment to have a strip of non-stretch textile material between the opposite borders to be joined together of the pieces of stretch fabric making up the garment, said strip of non-stretch textile fabric being joined by sewing of its side edges to the opposite edges of the pieces making up the stretch garment, preventing the ripping of the seams.
