<p>The invention concerns a photochemical apparatus comprising at least one light source (4) enclosed in a chamber (5) wherein are placed objects within which it is desired to carry out photochemical reactions, in which at least one of said light sources (4) consists of a cold cathode tube, further comprising means (2, 3) for exposing said objects to radiation emitted by said light sources (4) as said objects are being prepared for said photochemical treatment.
