The present invention concerns a process for producing a reusable mechanical element, such as a connection element or a tool comprising at least one object. The process is characterized in that it consists in heating a product (5) of the polycaprolactone type to a temperature close to its softening temperature, manually bringing a given volume of this product into contact with at least part of the external surface of the object (12) and holding it there until it cools, resulting in at least partial stiffening of the product (5) on the object, such that it is rendered integral therewith.
