A decoder and control module (4) is coupled to a filter (3) for decoding the multidirectional control signals and for generating internal control signals for a switchgear (8). The decoder and control module comprises a detector (10) for results representing signals. A modem (11) is connected to the decoder and control module for coding the signals representing the results by modulating an output signal, which is linked to a telephone interface (12), from which it can be forwarded to a telephone network (13).
