The invention relates to a radial piston pump for high pressure fuel supply in fuel injection systems of internal combustion engines, comprising a drive shaft (4) arranged in the housing (2) of the pump, having an eccentric shaft section (6) in which a ring (10) is slidingly mounted by means of a bearing bush (g). The ring (10) interacts preferably with several pistons (12) arranged radially in relation to the drive shaft (4) in corresponding cylinder chambers (18). The eccentric drive shaft (6) and the ring (10) are fixed in axial direction by thrust races (24, 25) and a bearing space (11) is provided between the bearing bush (9) and the shaft section (6) into which a lubricating agent flowing from the inner space of the pump housing (2) can enter. The invention aims at improving the supply of lubricating agent to the bearing gap. This is achieved in that the front faces of the hub (20, 21, 37, 38) of the pump housing (2) are shaped as a cone so that a wedge-like gap is formed that is tapered in the direction of the bearing gap (11).
