<p>A process for producing an article having a finely roughened surface which comprises tightly interposing a film of a sol material between a base and a mold and heating the film to thereby coat the base surface with a gel film having a surface contour reverse to that of the mold, wherein the sol material comprises (A) R2SiX2 (wherein R is alkyl and X is alkoxy or halogeno) and (B) R'SiX'3 (wherein R' is optionally substituted aryl and X' is alkoxy or halogeno). The coating film thus formed has high heat resistance. It neither cracks nor peels from the base.</p> |
