A candle making machine incorporates a series of candle casting units (1) arranged in a single row. A candle removal unit ejects cast candles from the individual units (1). The removal unit has a grip-plate (3) and a straight transport track (2) which travels along the plate (3). The track (2) is located so that the plate (3) may be conveniently positioned with a device (4, 5, 6) to surrender the removed candles.
