The stator has a rigid jacket with a lining of e.g. rubber. The jacket (1) has constant wall thickness (M), and is coiled according to the inner contour of the stator chamber (4). The lining (2) also has constant wall thickness (S) over the length of the stator. The flange rings (3) fastened to the ends of the jacket are removably connected to the remaining pump components (7), without requiring the tie rods connecting these components.
