The present additional invention relates to a lining component, especially for sheet metal supporting members, embodied as a hollow section in which the hollow structure is completely filled with foam. The foamable mass is fed into the predetermined hollow section at any consistency and foamed by supplying energy. The energy supply acts directly or indirectly upon the foamable mass. The energy supply can include thermal energy, high frequency energy or microwave energy. The foamable mass can be fed into the hollow area in the form of powder or grains or of sufficient consistency that it can be painted. |
