A Peltier effect thermoelectric module comprising two semiconductor thermoelectric elements respectively of N type and of P type and electrically connected in series is disclosed. At least one of said elements (2,3) is shaped to offer a tapering section to the flow of current when going towards the other element, said section being less than 3mm<2> at its minimum.
