Process for the chromatographic separation of a C5-C8 or intermediate fraction into three effluents, respectively rich in linear, monobranched and multibranched parrafins

5-8C cuts or intermediates are subjected to a chromatographic separation producing three effluents: (a) linear paraffins; (b) monobranched paraffins; and (c) multi-branched paraffins, and optionally naphthenes and/or aromatics. (a) and (b) are subsequently subjected to hydroisomerization and recycled. The separation process is applied to light 5-8C cuts or intermediate cuts, 5-7C, 6-8C, 7-8C, 6-7C, 7C or 8C, which comprises paraffins and possibly napthenes and/or aromatics. The charge and an eluent are alternately passed through a chromatographic separation zone containing an adsorbent so as to obtain three effluents, respectively, a linear paraffin-rich effluent, an effluent rich in monobranched paraffins and an effluent rich in multi-branched paraffins and possibly napthenes and/or aromatic compounds.
