PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of executing adequate cooling of an output system of the image forming device at need and suppressing the infiltration of dust into the machine. SOLUTION: The impression voltage V of the same value as the value set in a power source 18 as the impression voltage to be impressed on an illumination lamp 3 is inputted from a light source controller 17 to a control means 19 by a copying start key on for executing an image forming process. A control means 19 compares the preset voltage value v and the inputted voltage V. In the case of V<v or when the image forming process control is not executed, cooling fans 20, 21 are not operated and are held off and the copying operation is started. In the case of V>=v, the emitted light quantity of the illumination lamp is large and, therefore, the copying operation is started by driving the cooling fans 20, 21. |
