PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device for operating image composition by making the image directions of originals coincident with each other even when the image directions of the originals are different. SOLUTION: This image forming device is provided with an image reading unit for reading an image, primary storage device 802 and secondary storage device 804 for storing the read images, MSU and CPU for reading the stored images, and MSU compositing part 709 for synthesizing the read images with the stored images. At the time of preserving the image data in the primary storage device 802 and the secondary storage device 804, the directions of the images are preserved. Thus, at the time of compositing the stored pictures with the read images, the image directions of the images to be read from the storage devices 802 and 804 and to be composited are made coincident according to the preserved image directions. |
