PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device for a discharge lamp in which a filament can be preheated with a simple structure. SOLUTION: An inverter circuit 21 is connected to a direct current power source E, and field effect transistors Q11, Q12 are connected in series. Filaments FL1a, FL1b of a fluorescent lamp FL1 are connected between both terminals of the field effect transistor Q12 through a capacitor C11 and a ballast winding L11. The ballast winding L11 is a single turn type having a ballast part L11a and a preheating winding part L11b, and preheats the filament FL1a. A single turn type preheating winding L12 has an inductor part L12a and a preheating winding part L12b, and preheats the filament FL1b. Filaments FL2a, FL2b of a fluorescent lamp F12 are connected through a capacitor C15 and a ballast winding L15. A ballast winding L15 is a single turn type having a ballast part L15a and a preheating winding part L15b, and preheats the filament FL2a. A single turn type preheating winding L16 has a inductor part L16a and a preheating winding part L16b, and preheats the filament FL2b. |
