PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a barrel polishing device whereby even when a collective unit of a polishing medium is partially worn, a fixed polishing effect can be efficiently automatically obtained. SOLUTION: A barrel polishing device consist of a polishing medium receiving tank 30 receiving a polishing medium 31, base 11, slide plate 20 set up able to advance/retract in the direction of the polishing medium receiving tank 30 through an advance/retract means 13 in this base 11, motor driven rotary drive means 50 set up in this slide plate 20, rotary shaft 51 provided in this motor driven rotary drive means 50 and arranged along the advance/retract direction of the slide plate 20, and a workpiece mounting fixture 53 for mounting a workpiece W set up in a tip end part of this rotary shaft 51. In this polishing device, a control part for detecting a current flowing in the motor driven rotary drive means 50 to control advance/retract of the advance/retract means 13 of the slide plate 20 is provided. |
