PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow this device to automatically start operation when an indoor user approaches the device main body so that the user can confirm the outdoors, and to stop operation when the user leaves the device main body. SOLUTION: This device main body is provided with a camera part 7 and a sensor part 4, and is attached to a door or the like. The camera part 7 image picks-up the outdoors through a lens scope already set at this door. The sensor part 4 detects that an indoor user S enters a detection range 9 in the neighborhood of the device main body, transmits a control signal 4A to a control part 8, and the control part 8 supplies the power supply voltage of a light source part 5 to a camera part 7 or a display part 3 for turning the device main body into an operating state. Thus, the camera part 7 image picks-up the outside (a visitor) through the lens scope of the door, and allows a display part 3 to display it. When the user S does not move or moves away from the detection range 9, or a certain short time passes, the sensor part 8 stops the control signal 4A, and the control part 8 automatically stops power supply to the camera part 7 or the display part 3.
