PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition capable of manifesting excellent bleaching detergency even in a system of a chelating reagent containing N atom used together with an organic peracid precursor by including a specific component, the specified peracid precursor, the specific chelating reagent and an alkali agent. SOLUTION: This bleaching and detergent composition comprises (A) 4-80 wt.% component (e.g. percarbonic acid salt) releasing hydrogen peroxide in water and preferably having 200-500μm mean particle diameter, (B) 0.1-20 wt.% organic peracid precursor which generates organic peracid by reacting with hydrogen peroxide in water, (C) 0.1-40 wt.% water soluble chelating reagent containing N atom in the molecule, having >=4.5 stability constant of Ca chelate (pKCa ) (at 20 deg.C) and having >=80% organic peracid persistence (at 20 deg.C), and (D) an alkali agent. Preferably, the component B is a compound of formula I (R<2> is an 8-15C linear alkyl; Y<1> is a sulfonic acid or the like), and the component C is a compound of formula II [W and X are each H, R, COOM (R is an alkyl or the like; M is H, an alkali metal or the like) or the like; Y and Z are each H, R, SO3 M or the liked. |
