PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor light emitting array suitable for optical writing in a high resolution image forming apparatus by a novel constitution wherein a reflection light is not generated in a portion of a bonding wire. SOLUTION: This semiconductor light emitting element array comprises a plurality of light emitting layer regions 14 so constituted that a light emitting layer 12 that is made of a lamination body of a semiconductor layer and emits a light by being energized is divided into small and line-shaped regions, a semiconductor substrate 13 on which a pillar-shaped projection 15 having a shape the same as that of each light emitting layer region 14 is formed at a portion just below the laminated light emitting layer region 14, and a bonding wire 19 of which bonding position is in a height h2 lower than a height h1 of the pillar-shaped projection 15. As a result, it is possible to surely prevent lowering of image quality caused by the reflection light at the portion of the bonding wire 19 and to achieve the device suitable for optical writing in a high resolution image forming apparatus. |
