<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To hasten high quality image formation sufficiently according to multigradation without increasing the storing capacity by controlling the light emission of each light emitting diodes on the basis of an image data stored in a first memory and a correction data stored in a second memory of the light emitting diodes corresponding to the position in the main scanning direction of the image data. SOLUTION: Individual correction data of a plurality of light emitting diodes(LED) 121 is stored in a second memory 22. Then, the light emission of each LED 121 is controlled in terms of the image data stored in the first memory 21 and the correction data stored in the second memory 22 of the LED 121 corresponding to a position in the main scanning direction of the image data by control means comprising first and second shift registers 25, 26, a timing control circuits 27, an LED lighting circuit 28, a (+) side driving circuits 29 and so on. As such a high quality image formation having no color irregularity and density unevenness, particularly, sufficiently corresponding to multigradation can be done without increasing the quantity of data to be stored in the second memory 22, moreover, at high speed.</p> |
