摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce an energy loss and to reduce the load of a fuel pump, in a pressure accumulation type fuel injection device having a plurality of pressure accumulation chambers. SOLUTION: A first common rail 4a and a second common rail 4b are interconnected through a relief valve 5 and a three-way valve 6, a fuel injection valve 2 is connected to the first common rail 4a and a fuel feed pump 3 is connected thereto. One port of the three-way valve 6 is connected to a fuel tank 8. Pressure sensors 7a and 7b are arranged at the first and second common rails 4a and 4b and the magnitude of a fuel pressure in the two common rails 4a and 4b is decided by an ECU 9. Based on the operation state of a diesel engine 1 and a magnitude relation between fuel pressures in the two common rails 4a and 4b, operation of a relief valve 5 and switching of the flow passage of the three-way valve 6 are controlled.
