PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To freely generate various modes of musical sound waveforms on the basis of one type of waveform data and to establish a plurality of addresses for one type of waveform data via a user friendly interface. SOLUTION: A plurality of rising points where a waveform data level exceeds a threshold SENSE-LEVEL are detected and a plurality of read start addresses are determined on the basis of the rising paints. The read start addresses are respectively assigned to a plurality of performance operation elements. Thus, a musical sound waveform can be composed in a different mode on the basis of an operated performance operation element, using the same waveform data. In this case, each rising point can be automatically assigned to the performance operation element and can also be assigned by a user's operation according to a manual. |
