PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide color filters which are the color filters formed by using a resin black matrix and which hardly give rise to the problem of the occurrence of a display defect. SOLUTION: These color filters are formed by providing the surface of a transparent substrate 22 with a black matrix layer 24 formed by dispersing at least a shading agent into a resin and providing the apertures of the black matrix 24 and part on the black matrix 24 with respective colored layers of three primary colors. In such a case, the differences between the max. values and min. values of the differences in level ΔTR within the pixels of the red colored layers, differences in level ΔTG within the pixels of the green colored layers and differences in level ΔTS within the pixels of the blue colored layers of these color filters are below 0.5 μm. |
