<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the carry of a golf ball while heightening the strength of a face part by arranging a base part consisting of amorphous alloy at a front surface part inner surface side which is provided with the face part and is constituted of crystal metal. SOLUTION: The face part 2 of a golf club head is provided with a planar face plate 12 having a front surface part 3 which is provided with the face surface 8 and also consists of a front surface part 3 consisting of crystal metal and the base part 4 which is arranged at the corner of the inner surface 11 of the front surface part 3 and also consists of amorphous alloy. A head main body 1 is formed to be a hollow wood-type (metal head) by metal and fixed by fitting the face plate 12 to the fitting recessed part 10 which is arranged at the side of the face surface 8 of a face forming part 9. The front surface part 3 of the face plate 12 is constituted of crystal metal provided with high strength and an excellent Young's modulus and plural thin grooves are formed on the face surface 8. The base part of the face plate 12 is adhered to the inner surface 11 of the front surface part 3 and the base part 4 is constituted of amorphous alloy.</p> |
