PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound absorbing material showing a good sound absorbing characteristic, causing the deterioration of the sound absorbing characteristic due to fall, deviation or the like of a pulverized material, and having light weight and thin size as well as processability equivalent to the conventional porous material. SOLUTION: A pulverized material layer forming sheet A made of a base material impregnated with a pulverized material layer of a pulverized material and binder resin, and a porous material 3 are laminated on top of each other to produce a sound absorbing material B. As a result, a pulverized material layer containing a pulverized material held with the binder resin for reducing the drop of the pulverized material can be formed on the pulverized material forming sheet A, and a pulverized material layer having a high sound absorbing characteristic in a low frequency range due to the vibration of the pulverized material can also be formed on the pulverized material layer forming sheet A. At the same time, the sound absorbing material B with an improved sound absorbing function in the low frequency range in addition to the sound absorbing function of the porous material 3 can be provided. |
