METHOD FOR GENERATING THREE-DIMENSIONAL LOOK UP TABLE, IMAGE PROCESSOR EXECUTING THE SAME AND DIGITAL COLOR PRINTER PROVIDED WITH THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the generation of three-dimensional look up table data with satisfactory connection of important colors by correcting a re-interpolation three-dimensional look up table based on color patch data where an allocation value is subdivided on an important color part. SOLUTION: A first three-dimensional look up table(3DLUT) generation means 18 obtains input/output data D3 and D5 of N×N×N-(N is plural) number of color patches P2 on the respective hues of primarily independent red (R), green (G) and blue (B) and generates first 3DLUT. A 3DLUT re-interpolation means 20 re-interpolates first generated 3DLUT and generates second 3DLUT of M×M×M (M>N) stages. A 3DLUT correction means 22 corrects second 3DLUT by using input/output data D4 and D6 of the color patches P3 of M- pieces of important colors obtained by subdividing the allocation number N of the color patches P2 of the respective hues of RGB for generating first 3DLUT into M stages, and it generates 3DLUT of M×M×M stages for color conversion.
