PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To incorporate an attenuating function in the digital filter. SOLUTION: An adder subtracter 31 performs an adding and a subtracting processing for input data Xa(n) and Xb(n) and addition/subtraction data Xa(1)±Xb(1)} is written in a RAM 32. The addition/subtraction data Xa(1)+Xb(1)} is inputted to a multiplier 36 through a selector 34 and multiplied by a filter coefficient h(k) inputted from a ROM 33 through a selector 35. The multiplication data is cumulatively added by a cumulative adder 37 according to the number of taps and final cumulative addition is stored as composite data Y(n) in a register 40. The composite data Y(n) is inputted to a multiplier 36 through a selector 34 and multiplied by an attenuation coefficient g(m) inputted through the selector 35 and the result is stored as output data y(n) in an output register 41.
