PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber monitoring device for monitoring and testing which is fit in size for a targeted optical fiber, in the shell of frame of an optical fiber control system. SOLUTION: The device has a fixing plate 22 having a surface, and further an optical lead wire 20 connected to an input optical fiber through a connector array 6 is optically coupled on a targeted point on the surface of the fixing plate 22. A motor 26 on the contrary of the fixing plate 22 selectively rotates an armature 32 attached to the shaft, a light receiving element 34 disposed on the armature 32 is moved by the motor 26 to perform optical position alignment with each targeted point on the surface of the fixing plate 22. When each targeted point on the surface of the fixing plate 22 is aligned with the light receiving element by means of the armature 32, a signal from the input optical fiber is optically coupled to a photoelectric converter 44 optically coupled to the light receiving element 34 on the armature. |
