PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a honeycomb structure enabling rapid rising of temperature and excellent in durability. SOLUTION: This honeycomb structure comprises a sintered compact of silicon nitride with an electroconductive substance comprising one or more kinds of nitride of 4a group element, 5a group element and 6a group element, carbide of each element and silicate of each element and further contains either one of each oxide or each acid nitride of rare earth metal element-Si or rare earth metal element-Al-Si as a sintering aid and has 30-80 vol.% electroconductive substance content and 1-20 vol.% sintering aid content and has <=30% porosity and <=1 Ω.cm specific resistance. |
