PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability at the time of data communication by providing a means for automatically selecting a dialing rule for a portable telephone set, when the portable telephone set is detected so as to be connected. SOLUTION: A portable telephone communication adapter 105 executes control for data communication, using a portable telephone set. A calling source address setting device 108 and a connection destination setting device 109 talk with a user via a display device 103 and an input device 104 and set data on a calling source address and a connection destination. A controller 101 designates the calling source address and selects the dialing rule of the portable telephone set, if a portable telephone communication cable is connected and it dials the connection destination in accordance with the rule. If the portable telephone communication cable is not connected, the area code of the calling source address and the area code of the connection destination are compared. If they are identical, the dialing rule of a local call is selected, and the connection destination is dialed in accordance with the rule. |
