<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject non-aqueous recording liquid that is useful for an ink-jetting output unit by containing a colorant and a specific dispersion medium. SOLUTION: The objective recording liquid comprises a colorant and a dispersion medium containing one or more kinds of ethers that bears 1-4 oxygen atoms in their structures where all of the oxygen atoms form the ether bonds preferably in an amount of 30-100 wt.%. These ethers are preferably represented by the formula: R1 -O-R2 (R1 and R2 are each an alkyl, an alicyclic alkyl, an aryl, or the like), for example, di-n-hexyl ether or the like, the formula: R3 -O (Cn H2n O)x -R4 (R3 and R4 are each an alkyl, an alicyclic alkyl, an aryl or the like, (n) is 2, 3; (x) is 1-3), for example, ethylene glycol di-n-hexyl ether or the like, or the formula R5 -O(Cn H2n O)x -R6 (R5 and R6 are each an alkyl, an alicyclic alkyl, an aryl, or the like, (n) is 4-8; (x) is 1, 2), for example, butylene glycol di-n-butyl ether or the like.</p> |
