<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject paste giving red filters each capable of effectively utilizing the bright line of the back light of a liquid crystal display device to obtain both high transmissivity and high color purity, by compounding a specific pigment, a polymer and a solvent as main components. SOLUTION: This red paste for color filters contains (A) a pigment containing 2-98 wt.% of pigment red PR-254 and preferably an orange pigment (for example, pigment orange PO-38 and/or pigment orange PO-71), (B) a polymer and (C) a solvent as main components. The component A is preferably mixed with a quinacridone derivative and/or diketopyrrolopyrrole derivative in an amount of 0.1-30 wt.%. The component B is preferably a resin having carboxyl groups, especially a polyamic acid. When the pigment is dispersed, it is preferable that a polyamic acid containing 4,4'-diaminobenzanilide as a diamine component is used as a polymer dispersant.</p> |
