摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject dyeable fiber with high tenacity and high modulus, useful as e.g. a reinforcing material, by subjecting poly-p-phenylene terephthalamide with a specified intrinsic viscosity to fiber manufacturing process under specified conditions so as to continually maintain the moisture content of the resulting fiber at a specified level or higher. SOLUTION: This dyeable poly-p-phenylene terephthalamide fiber is obtained by the following process: first, a spinning dope is prepared from poly-p-phenylene terephthalamide with an intrinsic viscosity of >=5 and concentrated sulfuric acid, and then spun via the fine holes of a spinneret into the air once, and immediately put into water and solidified to form a filament with both high tenacity and modulus; thereafter, the filament is dyed in a separate process. The resultant poly-p-terephthalamide fiber has a tenacity of >=15 g/d and crystallite size (110-orientation) of 30-55Åwith the moisture content maintained continually at >=6 wt.%, being pref. 30-50% in crystallinity.
