发明名称 ACRYLIC FIBER TOW MATERIAL AND ITS PRODUCTION
摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an acrylic fiber tow material with excellent tow stretch breakability and flexibility, useful for e. g. high grade clothing, by using acrylic fiber having specific sectional shape. SOLUTION: This tow material which is made from a polymer containing >=50 wt.% of acrylonitrile, comprises acrylic fiber having the following characteristics: the section is formed of curved line alone, there are two or more recesses each >1.0μm in depth on the section, and there are ten or more recesses 0.05-1.0μm in depth on the section; wherein it is preferable that there are two or more recesses among those >1.0μm in depth in the direction of opposite poles on the section and the section is of flat shape 1.5-5 in flatness. This tow material is obtained by wet spinning of the above-mentioned polymer using an organic solvent-contg. solidification bath and using a modified spinning nozzle with its hole of gourd shape at a spinning draft of 0.5-2.0.
