PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase an injection speed of ink to an ink tank and at the same time enhance a filling factor of ink by providing an injection chamber which keeps the ink tank therein when ink is injected and is reduced in pressure. SOLUTION: A cartridge 1 is set in an injection chamber 27. A valve 47 is opened and a valve 48 is closed, then the injection chamber 27 is reduced in pressure by a vacuum pump 41. Nearly when the cartridge 1 is reduced in pressure, a predetermined injection amount of ink is supplied to an injection tank 5 and an injection nozzle 14 is inserted into the cartridge 1. When a valve 4 is opened thereafter, the ink in the injection tank 5 is injected into the cartridge 1 through the injection nozzle 4 because of a differential pressure of an internal reduced pressure of the cartridge 1 and an atmospheric pressure applied to the ink in the injection tank 5. A liquid level sensor 6 detects a liquid level of the ink in the injection tank 5. The injection of ink is terminated when the ink in the injection tank 5 is completely injected to the cartridge 1. |
