摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent the accurrence of a defective pattern due to direct contact between a pixel electrode consisting of indium tin oxide(ITO) and a source electrode consisting of aluminium(Al) at the time of forming the patterns of source electrodes and signal lines on an active matrix substrate using thin film transistors(TFTs) and to improve display quality. SOLUTION: Recessed parts 28a are formed like a matrix on an inter-layer insulating film 28 formed between a scanning line and a signal line and pixel electrodes 11 are formed in the recessed parts 28a. Thereby a step difference between the film 28 and each pixel electrode 11 is reduced, the electrode 11 is surely covered with a conductive layer 42a inserted into a gap between the electrode 11 and a source electrode 32, the occurrence of direct contact between both the electrodes 11, 32 can surely be prevented and the generation of a defective pattern can be prevented.</p>
